May 23, 2026 – Anniversary of the opening of PetSafe Carbondale Community Dog Park! Celebration details to come.

Programs – The Carbondale Park District is likely to hold programs throughout the year that may take place at the Dog Park. Please visit Welcome to the Carbondale Park District – Where Recreation Meets Nature! – Carbondale Park District for more information.
Workdays – throughout the year we will have workdays at the park for cleanup and minor maintenance.
Farmers Market of Carbondale – In the summer months, Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks will usually have a table set up every other week at the Farmers Market of Carbondale (in Murdale).
Valentine’s Photo Shoot – Each February, we will have a Valentine’s themed photo booth for dogs and their owners.
Anniversary Celebration – Each May, we will have a celebration to commemorate opening of Carbondale’s first public dog park.
FCDP Board of Directors Annual Public Meeting – Each summer, the FCDP Board of Directors will hold a meeting to which the public will be invited.
Howl-o-Ween – In October, the city of Carbondale holds a number of Halloween related events. FCDP’s Howl-o-Ween festivities usually include a pet parade, photo booth, and offering FCDP merchandise for sale.
Alternative Gift Fair – In December, FCDP will hold a booth at the Alternative Gift Fair which is usually the first Sunday of the month, and\or the day after the Carbondale Lights Fantastic Parade.
